Check Out Our Consulting Packages!

Before you think about selling your business, you need a clear picture of what the process looks like. This includes document preparation, financial review, understanding your motivation, anticipating the buyer’s goals, deal structure norms, and much more! Simply having a price in mind is useless if a buyer isn’t willing to pay it or structure the deal in a way that benefits you.

This Seller Readiness Assessment will provide a peak behind the curtain at the typical buyer in the world of mergers and acquisitions. This is NOT a simple valuation exercise. By the end of the consultation, you will understand your company’s value, where you can improve, potential pitfalls in the transaction, what a typical buyer might offer and how the deal could be structured. Come to the table prepared and confident that you know what you want and what to expect!

Seller Motivation Evaluation

Taking an honest look at your personal motivation is vital to a successful transaction. Money should never be the only end goal. Selling a company is a very personal experience for most people. You need to be prepared for the emotional aspect of the deal and not just the financial. Together, we will discover your WHY, so you can better negotiate your exit strategy or next chapter.

Financial Review

We will take a look at your Profit and Loss statements, agent productivity, retained company dollar, and expenses. From there, we will create a normalized version of the P&L from the perspective of a buyer. This will help you understand what metrics are important and how certain income is weighted differently. While this will not give you an “official” valuation of the company, it will give you a good idea of what you could get on the open market. Think of it like a CMA vs an appraisal.

Mock Letter of Intent

We will craft various versions of a Letter of Intent. This will show you ways that a buyer may structure things and reveal areas where you may want to negotiate and where you want to keep a hard line. We will present the LOIs as we would in an actual transaction to give you the full experience, lessening the anxiety later down the road.

Additional Resources

We will provide you with valuable information that will help you prepare for the due diligence period and beyond. We will provide you with checklists, timelines, sample press releases, and more to arm you with as much knowledge as possible.

Investment: $3,000

This investment covers all the above services as well as additional assistance provided by email for 3 months after the end of the consultation.

Should you transact and choose to use us to represent you within 12 months of the consultation, this will also cover the retainer fee in full for the transaction. You will only pay the success fees for a completed transaction.
